The Barrier Detectives Project is being implemented in Germany, Bosnia&Herzegovina and Montenegro as part of the ASA program from Engagement Global, an organization of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The participating partner organizations are Jusev e.V. (Germany) and BRAVO (Bosnia&Herzegowina).
It’s our goal to tackle barriers that persons with disabilities have to face every day – by doing barrier checks locally in our villages, towns and cities. It’s an easy way to participate in the change towards an inclusive environment for all!
In a first step we trained our volunteers and we will gather all our experiences and outcomes in an Online Conference in Mid-September. Afterwards we will share the results and resources on this website so that in the future everyone can become a barrier detective and will be able to adjust our resources and checklists for different needs (e.g. languages).
